Take off the cap on top of the thermometer. For adults, you have to pull the ear a little backward and upward to straighten the ear canal. For kids, pulling the outer ear straight backward will do the same. Simply put in the probe of the thermometer in the ear canal. Press and Hold the “Ear” button. After 1 second, release the “Ear” button and read your measurement.
